The Power of High Definition Radar with Brilliant Color and Slim-line Design
This
chartplotter has preloaded BlueChart® g2 maps of the U.S. coast and
displays them on a 10.4" SVGA display with crisp, video-quality
resolution. By connecting to the Garmin Marine Network, you can add
sonar and weather. For even more enhanced features, you can add
the optional BlueChart g2 Vision card. For a low cost option try
BlueChart g2 cards.
View Detailed Graphics and Video
The
4210 features highly detailed BlueChart g2 marine cartography of the
coastal United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and the Bahamas. This
data provides detailed coastlines, shaded depth contours, navaids, port
plans, wrecks, restricted areas and tide and current information.
And
as an aid to locational awareness, you can overlay the GMR 18 HD radar
image on the 4210's map page. You can also split the on-screen
display so that you can view the map and the standard radar page
simultaneously.
For
other areas, the 4210 has a worldwide basemap with high-quality
satellite images in place of more traditional maps. With the SD™ card
slot, you can add additional maps.
Add Extras with BlueChart g2 Vision
With the optional BlueChart® g2 Vision® SD card, you can add a whole new dimension of exceptional features to your chartplotter.
3D
mariner’s eye view or fish eye view provides you with a 3-dimensional
perspective of map information, both above the waterline and below it.
High-resolution satellite images and aerial photographs help you orient yourself in unfamiliar areas.
Auto
guidance technology searches through all relevant charts to create a
route you can actually follow — one that avoids obstacles, shallow
water, buoys and other obstructions.
Sharpen Your Radar Picture With High Definition Performance
The
GMR 18 HD features high-powered Digital Signal Processing, providing
sharper radar imagery and improved target separation. This 18-inch,
4-kilowatt high definition radar has a 36 nm range, bringing radar
images into even clearer focus. Combine that with the antenna’s 5.0
degree beamwidth, and you’re looking at the best weather penetration and
target definition in its class. To help you avoid traffic on the water,
the GMR 18 HD provides MARPA target tracking when combined with the 4210's display and an optional heading sensor. MARPA tracking
allows you to track the bearing, course, speed and predicted closest
approach of up to 10 targets. In addition, like all Garmin radars, the
GMR 18 HD has self-contained signal processing, which provides you with a
more precise, easy to read signature.
